WIRELESS THERMOSTAT AND ROOM ENVIRONMENT CONTROL SYSTEM

AIM: The main aim of this project is to develop a system, which keeps control on the temperature of the room with wireless thermostat. PURPOSE: The purpose of this project is to provide an automation system to control temperature of room in order to keep in control the room environment. METHODOLOGY: BLOCK DIAGRAM: REMOTE SECTION: CENTRAL SECTION: POWER SUPPLY: DESCRIPTION: An environmental control system permitting the occupant of a room to control the environment in his or her room selectively or automatically. Here we are having two sections remote section and central section. In remote section if the person is there in the room then he can control the temperature by using remote selectively. The system includes a remote control unit readily accessible to the occupant for selecting predetermined conditions. These conditions are transmitted to main control unit coupled to external environment control units such as motors. There will be a encoder to transmit the selected key pressed in the remote section. In the central section the microcontroller is used to select the desired environmental conditions with in the room for cooling or heating purpose in the room. In the cooling and heating systems there will be dc fan and thermostat. When ever the IR receiver receives the signal from the IR transmitter it is given to decoder which decodes and given to the controller. According to the predetermined temperature level it gives signal to the cooling or heating system to activate. How many persons are there in the room is known by using LDR and the count is displayed on the LCD. If no person is there in the room the thermister measures the temperature and gives the signal to the microcontroller and it will activate the cooling or heating systems accordingly. SOFTWARES: 1. Embedded C 2. Keil IDE 3. Uc-Flash HARDWARES: 1. Micro controller 2. Power supply 3. Front panel keypad 4. Temperature sensor 5. Room light sensor 6. Programmable heat or cool anticipation. RESULT: By using this project we can implement a wireless thermostat and room environment control systems.
