AIM: The aim of this project is to control the appliances by using IR communication PURPOSE: The goal of this project is to develop a system, which uses IR remote to operate appliances. BLOCK DIAGRAM: Remote Section: RECEIVER SECTION: DESCRIPTION: The important consideration in the present field of Electronics and Electrical related technologies are Automation, Power consumption and cost effectiveness. Automation is intended to reduce manpower with the help of intelligent systems. Now a days technology has developed to a large extent”. This project enables the user to control home appliances such as fans, bulbs, motors and so on just by remote. This project basically comprises of a microcontroller as heart of the project. Whenever the user wants to switch on or off any device by pressing the switch in IR remote. The IR receiver will receive the signal and will control the home appliances based on the switch pressed at remote section. The IR signal received by the microcontroller will enable the device to be controlled. The respective device is turned ON or OFF according to the signal. The microcontroller controls the appliances through their respective driving circuits.
