AIM: The main aim of this project is to design PC BASED WIRELESS DATA ACQUISITION SYSTEM USING RF PURPOSE: The purpose of the project is to design an data acquisition system through PC METHODOLOGY: BLOCK DIAGRAM TRANSMITTER SECTION: PC SECTION: POWER SUPPLY: DESCRIPTION: Data Acquisition system is an embedded system, which collects the data at predefined time intervals from different sensors for different physical measurements like temperature, light, Voltage variations, moisture and pressure etc. In stand-alone applications data Acquisition system, the output may be in the form of displays, printer, buzzer, memory storage devices etc. The disadvantages of these products are storage limitation and data analysis. These devices placed in different locations are used to collect data and transmit to centrally located PC servers these are called Remote Data Loggers. The project named “PC BASED WIRELESS DATA ACQUISITION SYSTEM USING RF” itself indicates that various parameters from different sensors will be monitored and that will be displayed on the PC through wireless communication. In this project we are having two sections. One is transmitter section and other is PC section. In the transmitter section, the parameters such as temperature, voltage and light intensity are monitored through their respective sensors and the same are connected to the Micro controller through the ADC. ADC is a device that converts the analog values to digital values. Then the sensed digital values can be transmitted through RF transmitter. In the receiver section the data sent by the transmitter is received by the receiver through RF receiver. The sensed parameters are displayed in PC. Hardware used: TRANSMITTER SECTION • Microcontroller • Voltage detector • Light intensity sensor • Temperature sensor • ADC • RF encoder • RF transmitter RECIVER SECTION • Microcontroller • RF receiver • RF decoder • Serial Driver • PC Software used: • Keil • Embedded ‘C’ • Express PCB • Express schematic RESULT: According to this project we can implement an data acquisition system through PC using RF.
