WIRELESS TELEMEDIA SYSTEM BASED ON ARM AND WEB SERVER

 

ABSTRACT:  

 Nowadays most of the humans have habits like smoking, drinking etc. This may lead them in to severe health problems. So there is a need for everyone to check up his or her body condition periodically. But hospitals are not much equipped with this facility that leads them to go for other laboratories. People won’t be able to afford the expenditure, as well as there is lots of time consumption.

We have developed a system that goes a step further than the previous approaches, being designed to measure temperature and heartbeat  carried by the patient.

 The hard ware design consists of two modules

  Transmitter section.

  Receiver section.

 

INTRODUCTION:

Transmitter section:

This section is placed with the patient’s. This module is also called as primary section. The module hardware design is consists of the power supply, micro controller , heart beat sensor and transmitter.

                                Here the purpose of the heart beat sensor to sense the heart beat i.e. pulse rate and also blood pressure of a patient’s to be monitor. The sensor sends the sensed signal to the amplifier circuit.  The output signal of the sensor is supposed to be amplified, because the output of the sensor in mill volts signals.  This signal cannot be sending to the micro controller, so through the amplifier circuit the signal is boosted (or) amplified & given has an input to the micro controller.

 Temperature sensor used here is the thermistor. The purpose of using two sensors, one is for the respiratory temperature and other to the body temperature.  The respiratory sensor is placed at the patient noise to sense the respiratory temperature and the other sensor is placed anywhere in the body to measure the body temperature.  These sensors send the sensed signal to the micro controller. The micro controller sends the entire signal to the secondary section through the transmitter. This acts an input to the secondary section.

  Receiver section:

This section is placed with the doctor consulting room. This module is also called with a name secondary section. It consists of receiver, PWM transmitter and RS 232 interface with PC. Once the signal received from the transmitter of the primary section to the receiver of the secondary section, it sends the signal to the PC via RS 232. When the PC receives the signal, it display the history of the patient i.e. we can monitor ECG signal, temperature, heartbeat and blood pressure carried by the patient.

 

 Finally the doctor monitors the entire history of the patient from the consulting room itself and while monitoring the condition of the patient, the condition goes abnormal it also viewed in

the PC.

                                By implementing this thesis of the project its safe the patient from the danger.
