OFFLINE MONITORING OF ADVERTISEMENT HOARDINGS USING GSM AND GPS WITH LASER SECURITY SYSTEM

 

INTRODUCTION

        We see lot of advertisement hoardings on roadside. For the peoples who doing these hoardings business they have to think about the security, but it is difficult to keep these hoardings for long time. For this reason they need a security system to monitor the status of these hoardings continuously. At those instances this project will be helpful.

 

DESCRIPTION

      The project “OFFLINE MONITORING OF ADVERTISEMENT HOARDINGS USING GSM AND GPS WITH LASER SECURITY SYSTEM” is a device used to monitor the hoardings, which has in built GSM and GPS with laser security system.

This system had LASER light to monitor the different positions of the hoardings to detect any damage to the hoarding caused by different peoples. This device will monitor the laser light continuously through LDR(LIGHT DEPENDENT RESISTOR).if any interruption occurred in receiving this laser signal for more than 1 minute, system will send SMS to the predefined number to  indicate the damage of  hoarding.

          This project is a battery backed system, in case module theft occurred system will indicate the position of module through GPS. This is detected if the position of the module is varied for long distance.

          Every advertisement hoardings having the bulbs to show the advertise in night .these system will turn ON the bulbs from 6 PM to 10 PM. And turns OFF these lights from 10 PM to 6 PM, time is obtained from GPS module.

          Each bulb has light sensing (LDR) module because if any bulb stopped working, system has to inform about the damaged bulb.

          All the information above described about the module is sent through the GSM module to the predefined user.

         

Here we using P89V51RD2 microcontroller for processing information.

 

8051 architecture based P89V51RD2 microcontroller from NxP is used to implement this project. Microcontroller acts as the heart of the project, which controls the whole system. It contains 1k RAM, 64k Flash, 3 Timers, 2 external interrupts, 1 UART, 32 GPIO’s, ISP programming support etc. KEIL IDE is used to program the microcontroller and the coding will be done using Embedded C.

          GSM module is used to send SMS to the required GSM mobile. This module is programmed using AT commands through UART.
