POWER LINE BASED MOTOR CONTROL

                      As electrical devices more and more automate homes and industry, an efficient way to let them communicate is crucial. Here we are decided to use the existing power line infrastructure to enable device communication. The benefits of such a system are numerous. Any device that draws power from a standard outlet could communicate with other devices instantly, and without rewiring. The design consists of three main parts: the power switching device that interfaces with the outlet, the power line communication which allows the computer to send signals over the AC lines, and the user interface which allows for monitoring and control of the system. This system could be the start of a completely automated and configurable motor speed control structure in which direction of motor could be precisely controlled. Using the lines already installed in your homes, allows this design to reach anywhere in your house or business.

 

                      The project allows us to send a encoded signal from our side through the power line, And allows us to control the motor connected in a remote point. Irrespective of the RF interruptions in the line. This project uses a unique way of encoding to control the motor via the power line, in this project user will be having a control box which consists of the keypad and a encoder section the output of the encoder is fed to the audio amplifier and then to a power line the encoded data is send through the power line via a coupling / impedance matching circuit and is received back in the output side via the same circuit after getting the signal back the necessary operations such as varying the speed to a certain fixed level with predefined values can be done i.e. up to 4 level of speed can be achieved via the 4 keys the project uses the at89c51 microcontroller as its core and the power isolator circuit and the encoder – decoder section are the various parts of the circuit the project can be shown with a small dc motor with predefined speed levels.
