Environmental and Disaster Sensing Using Cloud Computing Infrastructure

 

Aim

 

 

 

The main aim of the project is improving the performance of the remote monitoring system such as number of objects to be monitored and how much data to be transmitted to the data center to be processed properly.

 

 

 

Abstract

 

 

 

            Online monitoring of objects with specific sensors is needed for particular purposes. In conventional system, it still depends on an operator that should routinely check the existence of sites to retrieve data. Remote monitoring is commonly associated with network management. Network management usually consists of two things: the remote client and server (manager). Communication between the clients with the server can be push, pull or a combination of both. Pull method is mechanism where the server or manager requesting the last data from the client. The pull approach does not depend on data changes from remote client and sometimes it is not efficient. The push approach serves the data strictly based on the data changes and is hence more efficient. Building an integrated remote monitoring system will require a better network management between the clients with the manager. To minimize operational expenditure of a network management solution, the network is usually managed from a central location. Also, we are proposing to use cloud computing as center of data processing. By using cloud computing, we expected that it would helpful to build system infrastructure more efficient, especially in the case of the dynamic fluctuations of capturing data remotely.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Existing System

 

 

 

  • In the pull method of communication mechanism, where the server or manager requesting the last data from the client. The pull approach doesn’t depend on data changes from remote client and sometimes it is not efficient.

 

 

 

  • The push approach doesn’t consider the manager’s capabilities. Hence the efforts spent on serving the data will be wasted when the manager is unable or unwilling to process the data.

 

 

 

  • The data to be transmitted to the data center to be processed improperly.

 

 

 

  • The data to be transmitted to the server or manager might be lost because of pull of communication mechanism.

 

 

 

Proposed System

 

 

 

 

 

  • The use of cloud computing where the server or manager can be changed according to the load capacity.

 

 

 

  • FTR-HTTP method is using to avoid flooding, data losses or delay transmitting increasing due to the amount of data sent from the client.

 

 

 

  • We can use a variety of sensors for specific needs. For example for air environmental sensors can use the sensor in the air such as CO2, LPG, Carbon Monoxide, and air quality control sensor.

 

 

 

  • System infrastructure more efficient, especially in the case of the dynamic fluctuations of capturing data remotely.

User Entry

 

        User entry module allows the users to login. It’s a home page and once if the user enters the username and password it will check for the valid authentication, if it’s a valid authentication it will allow the user to do further process.

 

 

 

New User

 

          This module will allow the users to create a new user account. The users only those are having valid username and password only they can move forward.

 

 

 

Reservation Query

 

        Reservation query is such as similar to the sensor form under working of the overall controller. Whatever the details are filled that all will be save in database and will enable to manage by the admin.

 

 

 

Upstream

 

        Upstream query is such as similar to the sensor form under working of the overall controller. This form will enable to upload the files in the network and the details are managed by the overall controller.

 

 

 

Admin Monitoring

 

 

 

        Admin monitoring form enable to login only if the admin name and password is valid this module enable to manage the details in the database which are stored by the sensor nodes which are under working the  overall controller(admin).
